The Greatest "Fishing" Hawk

The Osprey Hawk is one of the most incredible hawks. It is commonly called the "Fish Hawk". It's biggest rival is the Bald Eagle.

They actually submerge themselves into the water like no other Bird of Prey! It is not uncommon for them to miss on the first try but they will never give up after one try. I have captured them splashing into the water and pulling themselves out with a very powerful flapping of their wings. It is incredible to watch. Their wingspan is long, about 64". That's over 5 feet!

Of all the birds I photograph the Osprey is my favorite. Enjoy my photos of this great bird!
